The American Rescue Plan Can Help Schools Reopen Safely

On March 10, 2021, Congress passed the American Rescue Plan (ARP), President Biden’s stimulus and COVID-19 relief package. The $1.9 trillion package includes $165 billion for the Education Stabilization Fund, which allocates funding for K-12 public schools, institutions of higher education and non-public schools to address pandemic-related challenges.

ARP funds may be used for COVID-19 mitigation efforts, and clean indoor air represents one crucial piece of the puzzle. Needlepoint bipolar ionization (NPBI®) technology is a safe and effective way to filter the virus out of the air. The technology, pioneered by Global Plasma Solutions, also has microbicidal effects on pathogens like SARS-CoV-2 (the virus that causes COVID-19), which ultimately disrupts their surface proteins and renders them inactive.
